Is everyone aware that the FSSA recently hired a chaplian for $60,000 annually plus benefits, to travel through the state and counsel "stressed out" FSSA employees? This hire has been reported in the papers due to the rapid changes regarding the waiver program? Can you believe that?! Where did that money come from?! Where is the chaplian for the families, consumers, providers, and case managers who have lost so much due to the rapid changes? Where is their help? Here is my thought......... "THATS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!" Its a good thing the state is watching the money so closely...............

I think it's a sad statement that the current leadership has caused employees to be so stressed out over the changes being made that a chaplain has to be hired--at the expense of consumers and their families who are being forced to swallow cuts in funding and services.

So sad. I truly know some people with disABILITIES and families who need some serious counseling. You lose your job as a state person, you more than likely find another. You lose the funding and providers for your services because of state mess ups, and there is no where else to turn! We all do not want to know what FSSA employees get paid if they pay a chaplain $60,000.

Well isn't that just a marvel IDEA! What ever has happen to our wonderful fearless leaders, people who deny services, aren't available, and they don't get involved now they need counsel. The WEIRD thought is our consumers who many couldn't even jump the hoops are supposed to use "NATURAL SUPPORTS". How the heck can FSSA/DDRS expect our consumers to use natural supports when the leaders of FSSA can't even use their OWN NATURAL SUPPORTS...Imagine that!
